What is Metaverse?

Metaverse can be called as virtual reality Universe, by which you can build social connections virtually. The term METAVERSE was firstly described in a science fiction novel ‘Snow Crash’ in 1992 by Neal Stephenson. In that novel he showed the possibility that lifelike avatars will meet in realistic 3D environments.

what is metaverse?

The word Metaverse doesn’t depict any specific technology type. But it’s about how we use technology to interact and communicate in this vastly growing world. But there’s a strong possibility that Metaverse itself will be a specific technology itself.

Speaking of technologies that consists the metaverse can include Virtual Reality [VR] – It is a virtual world that is existence even when we’re not playing.

Augmented Reality [AR] – It combines features of the physical and the digital world.

Or to simplify it, Metaverse is a network of virtual 3D worlds which mainly focuses on social connections and it can be also defined as the digital simulated environment which uses technologies such as AR and VR and Blockchain to create a platform for a huge user interaction like in the real world.

Metaverse in today’s times represents NIRVANA which can be defined as a place to immerse yourself in any digital based world with which you can participate in any physical activities at anywhere, anytime. You’ll be able to see and feel the things even if you’re thousands of miles far away from the place that thing is. Nowadays a person can also buy and sell their created goods, this is boosting the digital economy in Metaverse. Metaverse gives us ability to make a person in digital world to whom you can take everywhere in a digital world.

While COVID Pandemic hit the world really bad and grounded global economies, Internet helped and resulted WFH (Work from home) that helped a lot of companies to stay afloat in market and even expand spontaneously. Many industries including education have become more technology-intensive post pandemic.

With the help of metaverse many sectors will potentially alter in future by introducing wearables that are Virtual Reality (VR) based.

These wearables will help its users to find an alternative virtual world from any corner of their homes. People won’t need to undergo long commutes to interact. People won’t even need to dress up for various occasions, go out and breathe polluted air. Students will be able to study various types of subjects and modules at their very own pace and build their visions beyond what is possible with the current traditional curriculum.
